We believe in new ways to live Contemporary art

ABOUT THE GALLERY

In 2018, Arena Martínez, founder of the gallery, started working on different art projects under the name of “Arena Martínez Projects”, representing artists and participating in national art fairs in Spain. Throughout the years the project grew and became “ Arma Gallery” which opened it´s doors in 2023 in Calle Valverde 30, in the heart of Madrid.

The vision of the gallery is to transcend borders, showcasing Spanish artists on an international stage and bringing emerging and mid-career artists from around the globe to our gallery in Madrid. Introducing new artists into the Contemporary art market in Spain is one of the main objectives. The gallery program includes artists at all stages of their careers, from different generations.

We consider ourselves a phygital Contemporary art gallery. It’s more than a concept; it’s a living art form that manifests itself in both the digital and physical realms. We meticulously curate our online presence through exhibitions on platforms like Artsy while harnessing the energy of our physical space in Madrid.
Working on specific projects, be it in the realm of art fairs, emerging exhibitions, or institutional collaborations, allows us to express artists’ ideas and communicate art in a deeper and more meaningful way.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Arena Martínez (Madrid, 1993) has been involved in the art scene all her life. She was born between artworks and surrounded by art lovers who gave her the chance to attend art fairs, events and getting to know the art market since a very young age.
While she was studying business in London, she started working at well-known auction houses, art fairs and galleries.
After twelve years abroad she decided to go back to her hometown, Madrid to start her own project. Since 2018 she has been doing pop up and institutional exhibitions and working on what it is today, Arma Gallery.
